UL, a global safety science leader, acquired the National Analysis Center (NAC), a privately held company based in West Palm Beach, Fla., in 2015. The NAC is recognized as the standard for mobile phone, automotive infotainment and mobile accessory interoperability and usability testing. Its tradition of bundling testing results into a “NAC Report” made the term commonplace and synonymous with best-in-class validation and certification.

UL incorporated NAC Report processes and practices into its interoperability certification and validation reporting. Now, technology manufacturers and designers can receive all the value of a NAC Report paired to UL’s unmatched safety testing, certification and advisory solutions.

Our experts work with clients to develop personalized testing plans and analysis to meet client’s reporting needs to retailers, brands, OEMs or regulators. Our data is easy-to-use and understandable so clients can quickly turn it into actionable product enhancements and expedite the path to market.

  • Results are explained in simple terms in consolidated brief paragraphs.
    • Executive summaries drill down to the points of interest.
    • Most reports include a S.W.O.T Analysis: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
  • Reports are full of detailed color photographs of the product under test.
    • Any issues identified during testing are photographed and shared in detail in the report, which is useful in communicating problems to overseas suppliers.
    • An electronic version of each report is included with an auto-run mini CD that includes all the photographs, audio recordings, videos, raw-data and Bluetooth® sniffer trace files.

Initial testing criteria are scored on a range of 1 to 5, enabling clients to gauge the level of quality for individual tests and the product as a whole.

For convenience, we offer mail-in testing services and on-site support at client facilities.
