High-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is the leading multimedia interface standard for the transmission of audio and video data on consumer electronics. HDMI technology can also be found in other applications, such as industrial, healthcare, aerospace, automotive, security and surveillance.

UL Solutions in Taiwan has been qualified as an HDMI Authorized Testing Center (ATC), to perform HDMI compliance testing.

Our facilities in Taiwan are now equipped to provide comprehensive HDMI compliance testing services supporting a range of product types such as connectors, cables, sources, sinks and repeaters. We can verify your HDMI product according to the HDMI 1.4 Specification and HDMI 2.2 Specification.

UHS HDMI cable EMI compliance testing

Ultra High Speed (UHS) HDMI cables (also known as Category 3 HDMI cables) and Ultra96 HDMI cables (also known as Category 4 HDMI cables) must also undergo electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance testing at an HDMI Forum approved test house. The UL Solutions centers in Taiwan and Dongguan, China are two of the approved test houses and can help HDMI ATCs, cable manufacturers, buyers and other customers evaluate cables for EMI compliance with the requirements outlined in the Ultra High-Speed HDMI^® Cable and Ultra96 HDMI Cable Certification Program.

All UHS HDMI cables and Ultra96 HDMI cables must pass certification testing before being placed on the market. Radiation emitted by the UHS HDMI cable and Ultra96 HDMI cable should be exceptionally low, as low radiation minimizes interruption to the operation of peripheral wireless devices due to the EMI of the cable.
