Taiwan Classifies Baby Wipes as Cosmetics

The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) released notification that classifies baby wipes as cosmetics. The notification defines ‘baby wipes’ as products to be used by children under the age of one.
With the reclassification, existing industry regulations for cosmetics will now apply in the production and manufacture of baby wipes.
The notice will take effect on June 1, 2016.
