As an accredited Conformity Assessment Body through the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), UL Solutions provides independent, accredited third-party manufacturing and process assessments against defined standards. Our Supplier Quality Audits and Certifications program helps minimize supply chain risk, protect brand value and promote consumer and product safety.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

We help manufacturers, packagers and distribution centers demonstrate conformance to ISO standards, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and regional requirements through GMP certification and audit services.       

Retail Certification Program — ANAB Accredited Scheme

Certification under this program helps supply chains meet the requirements of multiple retailers through a single annual assessment, reducing redundant audit activities and costs.

UL’s Natural Products Association (NPA) Certification Program through the Accredited RCP or NBCP

We have partnered with the Natural Products Association (NPA), the nation’s largest trade organization representing natural products, to create a Good Manufacturing Practices Certification Program to help verify the quality and safety of dietary supplements.

Dangerous Goods Process Management Certification Program

Our DGPM certification program is designed to assess an organization's management system and processes related to the transportation of dangerous goods by road, rail, vessel or air against applicable regulations, agreements, codes of practice and legislation.

Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA) Certification Program, ANSI Standards & ANAB Accreditation Process

UL Solutions is approved to offer the GRMA Certification Program using ANSI standards for Dietary Supplements, Cosmetics/Personal Care Products, and Over-the-Counter Drugs to maintain robust GMP requirements and best practices for manufacturers, contract manufacturers, packers and warehouse/distribution centers.

As an accredited Certification Body, UL Verification Services, Inc. (UL VS USA) understands the importance of performing its certification activities impartially, including established policies and procedures to manage conflict of interest and ensure objectivity in the certification process. UL Verification Services, Inc. (UL VS USA) does not provide management system consulting. 

UL Verification Services, Inc. (UL VS USA) is financially funded by the fees charged to the facilities for the management system, services and processes for which certification is provided. Fees are charged for the initial certification process and for ongoing surveillance. 

As a certification and inspection body meeting ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 17020 requirements, we cannot participate in the design, manufacture, installation or distribution of the systems, processes and services we certify. Nor can we link our activities to the activities of organizations that provide those systems, processes or services. To find such providers, use an internet search engine and appropriate key words related to design, manufacture, installation or distribution for your specific system, process or service.
