Connecticut Enforces New Rules on Generic Drugs

The State of Connecticut has implemented new rules effective January 1, 2016 requiring that drugs sold only as generic include the following information:

  • Manufacturer’s name and website
  • Toll-free telephone number of MedWatch, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s drug safety and reporting program

 
This information may be included on the prescription container label, packaging, or receipt.
