Where innovation meets responsibility

Based in Basingstoke, United Kingdom, Volex is a global manufacturer dedicated to high-performance components and systems. Its products enable power and data connectivity across a wide range of industries, including electric vehicles (EVs), consumer electronics, medical, off-highway and complex industrial technologies such as data centers and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

Rapid expansion — growing from seven factories to nearly thirty worldwide — put new pressure on sustainability at Volex. As operations scaled, so did the complexity of its reporting requirements. With more sites came more products, more data, more regulations and more people demanding transparency and faster, more agile reporting. The company’s traditional management approach could not keep up.

The challenge was clear: Volex needed a comprehensive sustainability system to help standardize its monthly data submission process and support the preparation of the required documentation, auditable and ready for an increasing number of reporting frameworks, such as the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the United Kingdom Sustainability Reporting Standards (U.K. SRS).
