Choosing UL Solutions as your testing partner provides you with additional, unique advantages. Our experts can help you understand and align with the applicable regulatory and industry requirements in place in your target markets. Cables that are certified by UL Solutions are distinguished with an industry recognized and trusted Mark — the UL Certification Mark. The Mark not only helps confirm that your products are compliant with applicable standards and regulations, it also helps drive confidence and trust in your brand, and differentiate your products in the marketplace.

Certification and verification services for communications cables

We offer testing and certification services designed to meet the industry’s various needs, depending on the stakeholder demands or intended installation.

UL Certification Mark – AHJs require installers, builders and other stakeholders to obtain third-party certification to ensure cabling meets rigorous safety, performance and flammability standards. The UL Certification Mark signals industry stakeholders that a product has undergone comprehensive evaluation and meets the rigorous safety standards outlined in UL 444, Standard for Safety of Communications Cables, which is a binational consensus standard for the U.S. and Canada. This Mark not only helps ensure that your products are compliant with industry standards, it also reduces risk to all stakeholders in the supply chain.

Letter report service – We can help provide validation to your cables, such as product or feature attributes. A letter report is issued documenting the results, but no certification is granted, and there is no requirement for ongoing compliance testing.

Certified cable performance verification - UL Solutions can verify transmission performance in accordance with the National or International Specifications (DVBI) category.
