To help you prepare for the new Certification requirements which have been published for UL 827, the Standard for Central Station Alarm Services, and are scheduled to take effect on Dec.31, 2022, we have provided documents for you to review.
We will be evaluating your service center for compliance to the changes in the referenced Standard during the 2021 and 2022 audit cycles to assist you in identifying any steps required to bring any active Listings into compliance with the new requirements by Dec. 31, 2022.
In order to maintain your UL Certification after the effective date, we will need to have confirmation that all items noted during our audit process as not being in compliance with the new Standard have been addressed via an acceptable corrective action response.
Attached are two documents summarizing the changes in this Standard, the first is titled “Summary of Requirements” and provides a brief description of changes. The second, titled “Explanation of Requirements,” provides a more detail review of the changes. You can find more information online at our Fire and Security Service Solution resource page.
