SE-ZERT® Certified Systems Engineer (GfSE)® Level C
As part of the SE-ZERT® Level C certification program, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of the interdependence between systems engineering processes.
The SE-ZERT® Level C training by GfSE, the German chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), provides essential, practice-oriented knowledge in Systems Engineering (SE) and prepares professionals to actively contribute to product development projects. Aligned with international standards such as ISO/IEC 15288 and the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook, the program covers key topics like requirements management, system architecture and verification.
Level C is aimed at early-career professionals or technically qualified individuals with initial experience in SE. The training focuses on understanding SE methods and their targeted application in selected areas. Participants are prepared to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to SE processes.

Prerequisites
Completed technical training with a minimum amount of professional experience:
- Foreman/technician with five years of professional experience
- Bachelor with two years of professional experience
- Master’s/diploma with one year of professional experience
For all the above-mentioned: At least one year of professional experience is required in at least three of the following SE areas of expertise:
- Requirements management
- Risk and opportunity management
- Configuration management
- Technical planning
- Estimation of technical effort
- Architectural design/detailed design
- Product qualification, verification, validation
- Process definition and management
- Tool support
- Systems engineering training
- System integration
- Quality assurance
- Specialty engineering per INCOSE Handbook (e.g., logistics, servicing, reliability, maintenance, compatibility, environment, security, safety)
