UL’s Cyber Assurance Program Featured at DC Forums on Medical Device Cybersecurity

On January 20th and 21st, Anura Fernando spoke on a panel entitled, “Adapting and/or Implementing Medical Device Security Standards,” alongside AAMI, FDA, University of Michigan, Stryker Corporation, Diabetes Research Institute, Mayo Clinic, Phillips Healthcare, NIST and TUV.  UL spoke about current cybersecurity standards as well as those currently in development including UL’s CAP Program and the associated UL2900 standard development.  In addition, UL engaged in a discussion about cybersecurity certification schemes for medical devices and hospital networks.
