MOIT Lifts Formaldehyde Testing Requirement for Textile Products

Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has issued Circular No.23/2016/TT-BCT abolishing the regulation on testing the formaldehyde content in textile products.

This circular specifically repeals Circular No. 37/2015/TT-BCT which regulates content limits and inspection of formaldehyde and aromatic amines derived from azo colorants in textile product.

It will take effect on November 26, 2016.
