Whether you manufacture your toys in the European market or sell them there, it’s essential to understand how the new EU Toy Safety Regulation updates the requirements for toys sold in the EU.
Chemical safety is central to the new measures, which aim to better protect children from exposure to substances that may be harmful to their health.
The new Regulation also addresses emerging technologies, including connected toys and toys that use artificial intelligence. Manufacturers will be required to conduct specific safety assessments that consider potential mental health risks.
In terms of traceability, a mandatory digital passport will be established for each toy. This will replace the European declaration of conformity and include key safety information.
Learn more about these points and much more from UL Solutions toy and chemical experts in our webinar.
