United States Releases Final Rule for Dehumidifiers

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a final rule for the Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Dehumidifiers that imposes more stringent energy standards on dehumidifiers as detailed below:

25.00 or less   1.3
25.01-50.00   1.6
50.01 or more   2.8

This effective date of the final rule is August 12, 2016, but compliance with the amended standards established for dehumidifiers is required on or after June 13, 2019.
