UL Warns of Potentially Hazardous Portable Battery Packs (Release 14PN-17)

NORTHBROOK, IL- September 11, 2014 - The following is a notification from UL that the portable battery packs identified below are provided with an unauthorized UL Mark for the United States and Canada. The battery packs do not comply with the appropriate safety standards and are not authorized to bear the UL Mark.

Name of Product: i.Sound Portable Power Item# DGIPAD-4543 and i.Sound Portable Power Item# DIGIPAD-4544

Hazard: These portable battery packs do not comply with the appropriate safety standards and may pose a risk of fire.

Identification:

On the battery pack: The battery pack bears the unauthorized UL Mark and the following:
