TIE Releases Guide to EU Toy Safety Requirements

The Toy Industries of Europe (TIE), in collaboration with the European Commission (EC), has released a 35-page guide entitled “Toy Safety in the EU”, to assist manufacturers, importers and distributors to comply with the requirements in the European Union’s Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC.

The document, which has been part of an education campaign fund-ed by the EC, covers guidelines on technical documentation, safety and conformity assessments, EC declarations of conformity, Europe-an Conformity (CE) markings, packaging requirements, sample testing, tips, FAQs, definitions and links to EC resources.
