SFDA Releases Clarification on the Use of Triclosan in Soap

The Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has released a clarification notice in relation to the use of triclosan in soap products.

The notice released is in reference to the decision of US Food and Drug Administration of banning harmful substances in soap products. SFDA aims to remind the public that they have banned these substances, specifically "Triclosan" and "Triclocarban," in soaps since 2011.

This notice was released on September 9, 2016.
