ISO 1833-4:2006 Quantitative Chemical Analysis for Textiles Reviewed

INTERNATIONAL - The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has reviewed ISO 1833-4:2006 Textiles -- Quantitative chemical analysis -- Part 4: Mixtures of certain protein and certain other fibers (method using hypochlorite).

Using hypochlorite, the method determines the percentage of protein fiber, after removal of non-fibrous matter, in textiles made of binary mixtures of certain non-protein fiber and one protein fiber, as follows: wool, chemically-treated wool, other animal-hair fibers, silk, regenerated protein fibers based on casein, and cotton, cupro, viscose, modal, acrylic, chlorofibers, polyamide, polyester, polypropylene, glass and elastane.
