A new list of harmonized standards under Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC was published in the Official Journal of the European Union and notified by Communication C2015 087-02 on March 13, 2015.
The changes include:
- EN 71-1:2014 (Safety of toys - Part 1: Mechanical and physical properties)
- EN 71-3:2013+A1:2014 (Safety of toys - Part 3: Migration of certain elements)
- EN 71-14:2014 (Safety of toys - Part 14: Trampolines for domestic use)
In particular, the standards EN 71-1:2014 and EN 71-3:2013+A1:2014 replace their earlier harmonized version EN 71-1:2011+A3:2014 and EN 71-3:2013, respectively. In both cases the new or amended standard has the same scope as the superseded standard. On February 29, 2016, the superseded standards cease to give presumption of conformity with the requirements of Directive 2009/48/EC.
EN 71-14: 2014 is published for the first time and is a new entry to the EN-71 standards.
