UL Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina now an ENEC approved Testing Laboratory

UL is excited to announce that our RTP, North Carolina testing laboratory is now ENEC accredited under the LITE scheme. ENEC is the high quality European Mark for electrical products that demonstrates compliance with European standards (EN). UL is the first approved ENEC Testing Laboratory in the United States.

With the approval of our RTP lab, UL is now in a unique position to provide local service to our North American customers who are looking to enter into the European markets improving our already industry leading turnaround times and further reducing certification expenses for customers.

ENEC is among the leading regional certification schemes and is applicable to Luminaires, LED Drivers, LED Modules, Lamps, Ballasts as well as other lighting equipment. Customers targeting entry into both the North American market and the European market can additionally benefit from bundled certifications where turnaround times and costs can be reduced further by eliminating reductant steps and combining testing for worst case conditions.
