October 16, 2015

UNITED STATES - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued the three-step recommendation, “Kids and Cords Don’t Mix,” on the safe use of window blinds with pull cords. The recommendations states:

  • Examine all shades and blinds for exposed cords on the front, side and back of the product
  • Use cordless window blinds in homes with young children;
  • If you cannot afford new, cordless window coverings, contact the Window Covering Council at 800-506-4636 or at www.windowcoverings.org for a free repair kit.
