Overview: California’s Title 24 2016 Energy Efficiency Standards will take effect on January 1, 2017. The changes will impact lighting products used in residential and residential related (i.e. apartment common areas) new construction and remodels. At that time, all LED products used in these locations will need to be certified to the California Energy Commission (CEC) as “high efficacy” light sources, meeting the requirements for Efficacy, Color Quality, Dimming and Flicker.
