UL warns of potentially hazardous decorative lighting strings (Release 12PN-40)

Northbrook, IL, - October 15, 2012 - UL is notifying consumers, retailers and distributors that the decorative lighting string, identified below, may pose a fire and shock hazard.  The product does not comply with UL's safety requirements for the United States and is not eligible to bear the UL Mark.

Name of Product: Flicker Lights

Hazard: The product may overheat posing a risk of fire and/or electric shock.
