New York City Council Looks to Ban Hazardous Chemicals from Toys and Children’s Clothing

The New York City Council has introduced a bill that would ban the following hazardous chemicals from toys and children’s clothing, car seats, crib bedding and other products intended for children.

  • Benzene
  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Formaldehyde
  • Arsenic

The bill is part of the many bills that has ban introduced statewide but no bill has been passed with the opposition from the industry.
