ISO Develops and Reviews Standards for Foodstuffs and Milk

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is developing and reviewing standards specific for foodstuffs and milk products.

The standard, ISO/DIS 18787 Foodstuffs - Determination of water activity, is being developed by committee, ISO/TC 34 Food products. The standard is currently in stage 40.20 DIS ballot initiated: 12 weeks as of September 2, 2016.

On the other hand, the standard ISO 17678:2010 (IDF 202:2010) Milk and milk products - Determination of milk fat purity by gas chromatographic analysis of triglycerides (Reference method) is being reviewed for revision as of September 1, 2016.
