India - Additional Product Categories Will Be Mandatory Under the Compulsory Registration Scheme

According to the notification in the Official Gazette of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on April 1, 2020, additional product categories will be mandatory under the Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS). Two additional lighting products, as shown below table, are mentioned in this notification that shall comply with the Indian Standard (IS) and Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) program within six months from the date of publication of this notification. The enforcement date would be on Oct. 1, 2020.
