Germany Amends Safety of Toys Regulation

On July 22, 2016, the Federal Law Gazette of Germany released a Second Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Safety of Toys.

The regulation amends Article 1 of the Decree of October 21, 2015, requiring manufacturers to market their toys with instructions and security in the German language. The regulation also specifies that lead in toys must not exceed 0.7 micrograms.

The regulation was enacted into law on July 13, 2016 and entered into force on July 14, 2016.
