Fifteen Member States of the European Union (EU) conducted an enforcement project testing 797 products with hazardous chemicals. Out of these products, approximately 230 products, or 29 % did not meet the requirements for classification, labelling and packaging under Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation for the protection of children.
Specifically, these products did not provide adequate measures to prevent children from opening them. The majority of the tested products included disinfectants, bleaches, and cleaners for drains, toilets, ovens and windows.
