The European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) Committee for Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) has made a conclusion regarding restrictions on methanol.
In its draft opinion, SEAC has adopted the proposal from Poland to restrict the concentration of methanol in cleaning solutions and in denatured ethanol. The agency concludes that the restriction is the most relevant measure in addressing the risks posed by the substance.
The conclusion was made in SEAC’s plenary meeting from March 8 to 11, 2016.
