The Department of Health of Puerto Rico has announced the delay of the enforcement of Administrative Order 346 intended for dietary supplements. AO 346 aims to impose regulatory fees in the distribution and manufacturing of dietary supplements.
The delay is made after the sector describes the AO as a burden to them. Furthermore, the Department also states that they should also consider and impose proper jurisdiction to this sector specifically to be fair to legitimate manufacturers of dietary supplements.
The AO is set to undergo notice, hearing, drafts, public consultation and rulemaking periods before its enforcement.
