On June 12, 2025, Switzerland’s Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office published RO 2025 395, Amendment of 2 June 2025 to FDHA Ordinance on Materials and Articles intended to Come into Contact with Foodstuffs (Materials and Articles Ordinance).

On June 12, 2025, Switzerland’s Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office published RO 2025 395, Amendment of 2 June 2025 to FDHA Ordinance on Materials and Articles intended to Come into Contact with Foodstuffs (Materials and Articles Ordinance). This Regulation will be implemented on July 1, 2025.

The amendment specifies that materials and articles that contain substances according to entry 5103 or 5011, Table 1, Schedule 2, or according to entry 5103, Table 1, Schedule 10 of this Ordinance as amended on Nov. 13, 2024 and materials and articles that do not comply with the requirements of Schedule 13, c. 3 or Schedule 14 of the June 2, 2025 amendment may still be imported, manufactured, labelled and placed on the market under the former duty until Oct. 20, 2027.

These products may be supplied to consumers until Oct. 20, 2028.
