ChemSec Launches Online Database for Chemicals in Textiles

October 16, 2015

SWEDEN - ChemSec has launched an online searchable database containing information on more than 6, 500 chemicals found in textiles.

The identification of the chemicals is based on regional legislations from the European Union (EU) and the United States (US) as well as information from Restricted Substances Lists (RSLs) published by multinational brands and textile trade organizations.

The database will automatically inform if the chemical is toxic. The database also features chemical management for solids and can help companies prioritize chemical and company specific risks.
