CFDA Publishes Revised Cosmetics Inventory

CHINA - China’s Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) has announced the release of its final revised version of the Inventory of Existing Cosmetics Ingredients in China (IECIC 2015).
 
These nine ingredients have been added:

  • raspberry ketone glucoside
  • hesperidinase
  • harungana madagascariensis extract
  • undeceth-3
  • PEG-50 hydrogenated palmamide
  • PEG/PPG-150/30 copolymer
  • decyl isostearate
  • tris(PPG-3 benzyl ether) citrate
  • chondrus crispus (carrageenan)

 
The following nine ingredients have been removed as they are covered by other entries:

  • thymus serpyllum extract
  • oryza sativa extract
  • tilia cordata extract
  • coffea arabica extract
  • citrus limonium extract
  • jasminum sambac (jasmine) flower water
  • chamomilla recutita (matricaria) dried flower
  • papaver somniferum seed extract
  • gleditsia sinensis thorn extract

 
The list remains at 8,783 ingredients, and the names of 141 cosmetics ingredients have been changed.
