Cap off your AMUG week with UL’s Foundations of 3D Printing

March 21, 2016

In conjunction with the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG), UL is offering the first course from our 3-tiered AM Training Program, Foundations of 3D Printing Workshop, to AMUG 2016 conference attendees. This special course offering will be taught by Paul Bates, General Manager of the UL AMCC and AMUG Deputy VP. The class is scheduled for Friday, April 8 from 8:00am - 12:00pm at St. Louis Union Station.

The Foundations of 3D Printing Workshop is a discussion-oriented session in which participants receive comprehensive introductory knowledge of the 3D printing industry. Covering terms and definitions, software and hardware as well as discussing applications and case studies, participants will begin to understand the benefits of 3D printing in a way that is relevant to your business needs.

“This is an exciting opportunity to present this class at the AMUG conference – to actual users of the technology – and have them experience the entry point to UL’s AM training certification program. They recognize the need for certified operators of AM technology and this is the first step down that path,” says Bates.

Following the course, participants may opt to take the online proficiency exam, which is included in the price of the workshop. To register for this special training event, please visit the AMUG site.
