Canada Releases Children’s Jewelry Regulation

Canada has released SOR/2016-168 Children’s Jewellery Regulations.

The regulation prescribes a lead content limit for children’s jewelry of not more than 600 mg/kg, of which no more than 90 mg/kg may be migratable lead.

Published by the Canada Gazette on July 13, 2016, the regulation entered into force on June 22, 2016.
