CAA Issues Partial Revision to Textile Labeling Regulations

The Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) of Japan has issued a document that aims to partially revise the textile goods quality labeling regulations in Japan. The partial revision is intended to provide consumers with more details and harmonized quality information about textile goods.

The partial revision involves the change of mandatory care labeling in accordance with the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) L 0001, which is harmonized with the International Standard (ISO) 3758.
