CA DTSC Re-opens Comment Period for the Listing of Children’s Foam-Padded Sleeping Products

The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has re-opened the comment period for the Safer Consumer Products Regulations - Listing Children’s Foam-Padded Sleeping Products Containing Tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) Phosphate (TDCPP) or Tris(2-chloroethyl) Phosphate (TCEP) as a Priority Product .

This proposed regulation aims to amend Title 22, California Code of Regulations sections 69511 and 69511.1 through establishment of a Priority Products List. The list includes children’s foam-padded sleeping products containing tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCPP) or tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP) as a Priority Product.

The re-opened public consultation runs from October 7, 2016 to November 21, 2016.
