Enjoy transparency and consistency with UL’s Solar PV Module Factory Certification Service

When UL published the first photovoltaic (PV) safety standard in 1986, we made it clear that we are committed to the Solar industry. In response to calls for greater consistency in technical evaluations, the International Electromechanical Commission (IEC) established a new conformity assessment (CA) system for renewable energy (IECRE). Both IEC and IECRE are recognized internationally for standards development and conformity assessment systems respectively, and the new conformity assessment aims to standardize the process.

UL is proud to be a Renewable Energy Certification Bodies (RECB), allowing us to perform the conformity assessment as an independent third party. UL’s PV Module Manufacturer Factory Audit Service, built with a solid foundation of technical experience and a global presence, offering you a thorough process that you can trust.
