Germany's Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAUA) has released the second part of its guidance document for the registration of companies unfamiliar with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) process, specifically those that have to register manufactured or imported substances of less than 10 tonnes per year.
The previous guidance document covered the introductory work for the registration and submission of dossier. This next guidance includes the creation of registration dossiers for substances with the aforementioned tonnage. The final guidance document, which covers substances with 10-100 tonnes per year, will discuss the extended registration requirements.
The document also covers the use of the International Uniform Chemical Information Database (IUCLID), a free software application to capture, store, maintain and exchange data on intrinsic and hazard properties of chemical substances.
The registration deadline is May 31, 2018.
