The European Union has introduced Directive (EU) 2023/826 as part of its commitment to advance the circular economy, improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
This directive — an update to the existing ecodesign framework — reflects the EU’s strategic shift toward making products more durable, repairable, energy efficient and environmentally sustainable.
