This presentation will be an overview of changes to U.S. standards for electrical equipment of machines and control panels. We will focus on the challenge of "New standards and codes" for product certification. A summary of the changes to the Third Edition of the UL 508A Standard for Industrial Control Panels and the 2020 National Electrical Code® will be provided. The effect of these changes on product design and certification will also be covered, as well as an explanation of significant differences between U.S. and Canadian standards.
