UL Shanghai and Shenzhen laboratories are now registered with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as approved laboratories for Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) third-party testing and accredited to China National Accreditation Service (CNAS).
Why It Matters
The global regulatory landscape for juvenile products is becoming increasingly complex. As new regulations are introduced each year and current regulations are changed, it is challenging to ensure compliance across all products. To make matters more difficult, meeting the regulations is the bare minimum requirement for sale in a country and does not necessarily demonstrate an acceptable level of safety. Many compliant juvenile products are recalled each year.
