UL Connecticut Facility Qualifies for Expanded ISO 17025 Accreditation

UL Enfield, CT facility will have the following methods added to their ISO 17025 scope of accreditation based on our recent successful scope expansion audit by ANAB:

  • IEC 62321 - RoHS (Parts 3-1, 4, 5)
  • ASTM D6110 - Standard Test Method for Determining the Charpy Impact Resistance of Notched Specimens of Plastics
  • ISO 179-1, Charpy Impact Strength, Non-Instrumented
  • ASTM F1148 - Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Home Playground Equipment
  • EN 71-8 - Safety of toys - Activity toys for domestic use (Home Playground Equipment)
  • ASTM F2613 – Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Children’s Chairs and Stools
  • ISO 13934-2 – Test method for breaking strength and elongation of textile fabrics (Grab)
  • ISO 105-X12 – Colorfastness to Crocking
  • ISO 105-D01 – Colorfastness to Dry-cleaning
  • ISO 105-E01 – Colorfastness to Water

The addition of the playground and children’s chair accreditations is part of UL’s global expansion with juvenile products, and the ISO test method accreditations support international testing for our global customers.
