Singapore Standards Consults on Standards for Cosmetics

Singapore Standards has started a public consultation on the following new standards on cosmetics:

Cosmetics – Microbiology – Guidelines for the risk assessment and identification of microbiologically low-risk products ISO 29621 (upcoming) It is a guidance document to assist cosmetic manufacturers in defining finished products that, based on a risk assessment, present a low-risk of microbial contamination during production and/or intended use, and therefore, do not require the application of microbiological testing standards for cosmetics.
Cosmetics – Guidelines on technical definitions and criteria for natural and organic cosmetic ingredients, Part 2: Criteria for ingredients and products ISO 16128-2.2 (upcoming) It establishes methods on the determination of natural, natural origin, organic and organic origin indexes applicable to the ingredient categories defined in Part 1 of ISO 16128.
