OEHHA Issues Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Six Chemicals

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has issued Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for six chemicals. OEHHA proposes amendment of Proposition 65 Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs) for oral exposure to the following chemicals:

  • Atrazine
  • Propazine
  • Simazine
  • 2,3-diamino-6-chloro-s-triazine (DACT)
  • Des-ethyl atrazine (DEA)
  • Des-isopropyl atrazine (DIA)

The proposed MADLs are 100 micrograms per day for the six chemicals. The proposal is open for public consultation through July 27, 2015. The listing of the six chemicals under reproductive toxicity is effective starting October 1, 2015.
