The number of software components used in a modern connected vehicle has grown exponentially over the last decade as the automotive industry continues to deliver automation, mobility and connectivity in the vehicle. As a result, there have been joint efforts by regulators and approval authorities to mandate stringent regulations and standards to help ensure cybersecurity of modern vehicles. In this webinar, UL's automotive cybersecurity experts will present the objectives, approach and challenges outlined in the UNECE WP.29 R156 regulation and ISO 24089 standard for software update management system. The webinar covers the requirements outlined in the regulation and standards for software update management, vehicle and software identification requirements that vehicle manufacturers and component manufacturers will need to adhere to.
