Certification solutions for the unique needs of offshore wind
Compared to onshore wind farms, offshore installations remain more complex in terms of structural design, installation and maintenance. Sites farther from the coast demand thorough development and planning of the turbine, its components and the entire wind farm to demonstrate that it is a worthwhile investment.
We have pioneered research in the offshore environment and gathered knowledge and expertise from various offshore projects. Though the certification process for offshore wind turbines and components is similar to onshore installations, additional technical requirements may need to be integrated in the testing and, if applicable, certification process.
