Our Software Intensive Systems (SIS) division has announced the launch of Stages version 7.12, a groundbreaking update designed to enhance process management in today’s artificial intelligence (AI)-driven landscape.
This new version boasts advanced AI features, customizable APIs for seamless data access, and improved tool integrations, delivering powerful capabilities for organizations seeking to streamline and enhance their workflows.
Chat with your processes
Among the standout features of Stages 7.12 is the innovative AI chat assistant. This tool allows users to interact with their process content through simple inquiries, eliminating the need for tedious navigation or searching.

Powered by a sophisticated process knowledge graph, the chat assistant provides context-aware answers, significantly reduces common AI pitfalls, and delivers more accurate and relevant information.
“The integration of knowledge graph-based AI into our process management tools marks a significant advancement for our users,” said Erich Meier, Stages product director. “Also, our AI-enabled features, including AI-assisted process modeling, are now available for on-premise installations, providing flexibility and support wherever our customers operate.”
Unleash your process data everywhere
In addition to AI enhancements, Stages 7.12 introduces a powerful API framework that enables customers to leverage aggregated process data across various applications. This functionality allows organizations to design APIs for specific use cases, facilitating connections between Stages process models and other engineering tools or business intelligence platforms.
Tool integrations
The new version also upgrades tool integrations, allowing process feedback to be collected through SharePoint 365 lists. Furthermore, the process execution capabilities for IBM’s Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) system have been enhanced and are now fully compatible with ELM version 7.1. Users can also manage and baseline work products in Atlassian Confluence, similar to existing integrations with application life cycle management (ALM) and configuration management systems.
New standards ready for mapping
In addition to introducing new software features, the Stages team also made new reference models available for managing compliance across multiple sectors, such as automotive, industrial, aerospace and defense:
- General: ISO 15288:2023
- Automotive: Agile SPICE, ISO/PAS 8800, UN-155/156, UL 4600, the Standard for Evaluation of Autonomous Products
