Canada Amends Regulation for Products Containing Lead that Come into Contact with Mouth

Canada has released SOR/2016-171 Regulations Amending the Consumer Products Containing Lead (Contact with Mouth) Regulations.

The regulation amends subsection 2(1) of the regulation, prescribing a lead content limit of not more than 90 mg/kg for each accessible part of a consumer product.

Published by the Canada Gazette on July 13, 2016, the regulation entered into force on June 22, 2016.
