How the Certification works

The ECOLOGO® Certification defines a comprehensive set of multi-attribute criteria that address key environmental impacts across the full product life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal, as well as corporate sustainability performance indicators. Thus, it provides a framework for manufacturers to demonstrate measurable progress in improving ESG ratings.

ECOLOGO® Certification starts with a desktop audit. We will provide you with a checklist to inform them of what documentation to submit. We will guide you through it step by step.

Keeping your certification up to date

Once you’re certified, UL Solutions will perform an annual review to confirm your equipment still meets applicable requirements. If you make any changes that could affect your certification, it’s important to let us know right away so we can reassess. Every three years, we’ll also do a full recertification review to confirm alignment with the latest criteria.
