Overview of UL 48 Electric Signs General Coverage MTR Certification Program

This course consists of a series of modules that cover the UL General Coverage Certification Program for Signs, including:

  • Basic safety principles.
  • Selection of components.
  • Technical requirements of UL 48, the Standard for Electric Signs.
  • Responsibilities of the manufacturer.
  • Interaction with UL Solutions field engineers for production surveillance activities.

Completion of the course will fulfill the basic qualification requirements for being designated as a Manufacturer's Technical Representative (MTR) in the updated sign certification program.
